This week donations of baby clothes and much needed disability aids including wheelchairs, commodes and physiotherapy equipment arrived at Drat-sko's school in the East of Bhutan. The donations came from local donations in Whitstable and a partnership with PhysioNet, a Yorkshire based charity which refurbishes disability equipment unused by healthcare providers and ships it around the world.
A special thanks to our charity representative in Bhutan,Ugyen Ushering for organising the shipment of such a complicated load across mountainous terrain. These donations will go a huge way to transform the lives of children in a country where 2/3rds of disabled children do not attend school.
