Emma was born in Kent, UK, educated at Cambridge University  and the University of London finally working in Fund Management in London, New York and Hong Kong.

A life changing situation in Jakarta made her leave her job and explore yoga, meditation and methods of wellbeing.

In 2011 Emma had a chance meeting with a Buddhist Lama who later became her teacher.  Her interest in Buddhism strengthened and in 2014 she because the first Western woman to be ordained as a Buddhist nun, in the Drukpa Kagyu lineage, in the Kingdom of Bhutan.

Emma says “I have been given a unique opportunity to combine being a female from the west with being trained by Lamas in the East.  I hope this will allow me to bring benefit to many.”
